90 min x2

Yaya! yesterday I did another 90 min on the ube @ 35 watts. Cadence was above 70 rpm for the first 60 min, above 80 rpm for 60-80 min & the @ 90 rpm the final 10 min. I've decided the first 45 min is the toughest... the first 15-30 min are the most difficult physically, as it takes a bit for my body to really get firing on all cylinders. After that it is mostly mental, although I did notice that after an hour I felt really, really good. I suspect it just takes much longer for my body to settle into a groove. I think I could easily go much much longer than 90 min.... at least physically it might be simple... I'd probably get really bored first..

Shoulders feel good & have accommodated this increase in training time very well. I've noticed they (mostly the left shoulder) tend to get sore each time I bump up the training length or intensity. But not this time!

Today the plan is another 60 min. 15 min @ 35 watts, then 45 min @ 40 watts. the goal is to gradually get my aerobic power up. My VO2 is likely to plateau before it hits 2.0 l, so I'll need to be able generate as much power as possible at submax intensities.
