Have you ever played fetch with a dog?? You've noticed how their eyes and entire being are locked on the ball in your hand.. They are fully tensed, ready to explode into action the moment the ball is released.... And when you launch the ball, they are gone, lost in the chase, confident that they will get the ball, never doubting that it's beyond their reach..
And you have you done this at the edge of the ocean, where water and land meet... where maybe, just maybe you could throw it too far.... and still, I've never seen a dog hesitate to go full bore into the waves (okay... maybe not all dogs...)...
I've thrown the ball as far as I dare & my heart has taken off in pursuit.....And somehow, some way, my body is going to follow along... and my mind? Well, the logical side of me gets a little scared, but she'd excited... and mostly I trust that I'll catch that ball and find my way back for another round..
