Recovery day

Today was a recovery day... mostly. I had planned on tomorrow being my off/recovery day, but my body decided that it needed today off. I noticed over the last two days my transfers were lacking a little 'pop.' In addition, I slept on my shoulder funny sunday night and it was sore monday & today. Definitely not rotator cuff sore, definitely not contractile tissue sore, just a general joint capsule sore.... It's almost gone tonight. I suspect it'll be gone after I rest tomorrow as well.

So, today became a lift only day. While lifting I could tell my body was tired, so I made it a lighter lift. My lifts are simple & target triceps, lats, and external rotators. I don't stretch systematically, but then I'm flexible to the point of nearly being unstable.

My inner two year old protested the off day... She wanted nothing to do with it, she wanted to hit the ube, hit it hard... she is a creature of habit and today was supposed to be interval day. My mind, the logical, rationale side of me knew I needed to rest, knows I'll be even stronger after recovery, knows that recovery is very important.

have you ever tried to talk sense to a mad two year old? doesn't do much does it? I think she's still pouting....
